New Means of Transport
A VAT411 form is used the register the vehicle Tax Free. An individual can purchase a vehicle in one Member State of the European Community and Export it to another Member State in the EC. Any duties are not due in the State where purchased from but in the State of destination where it should be registered.
Personal Export
A VAT410 form is used the register the vehicle Tax Free. An EC resident can purchase a vehicle in the European Community and Export it to Country outside the EC and an Overseas visitor can purchase a vehicle and use it during the last 12 months of their stay.
